I didn’t have my tablet for most of the commentaries here, so I gave up and typed them.  Not that it really makes  a difference.

Have I talked about the awesome guy yet?  The one good animator on a team of people who just can’t draw?  His stuff is GORGEOUS.  One day I want to compile all his Eyeshield 21 work and post it, because it’s so much better than mine.  And then marry him.

Important notes: the Kongo brothers are never NOT ugly and Musashi’s chin is freaking me out.

Also, finished the most complex part of my Sakuraba scene tonight…it looks weird and jerky, but it’s all in color and shaded so DAMMIT I GET TO BE PROUD.

EDIT: Wow,the text is really hard to read like this…sorry, guys.  At least you can still see the pictures.

Let’s make a little summary from what I’ve seen:

- The Kongo brothers always look fugly, same with the American team and Juumonji.

- Nobody can draw Musashi in the anime. Chin, pecs, whatever, they just can’t.

- Hiruma has a giant nose.

- Everyone has awkward lips and huge, unmovable chins. 

You could also show that Mamori is NEVER drawn the same in one episode. Her face shape and proportions keep changing with each shot, it’s horrible.

This….considering his narcissism and megalomania, it would make sense.

Coupled with the “kinky Namie” headcanon from some weeks ago, this makes some pretty fun images in my head. XD

See people, that’s what’s called ‘Brilliant Character Development’. 

Notice how he starts the series with the typical beady dot-pupils. As the series progresses, his eyes become more proportional to his face, and with bigger pupils.

I really think L would most likely look like this. He’s just a quarter Japanese and THREE QUARTERS EUROPEAN after all.

even without the race thing this is probably the best L cosplay I’ve seen

seriously look at how unkempt he is!! So many L cosplayers pefectly fashion a wig to resemble his hair and so neatly give a bit of mascara under their eyes to resemble his sleeplessness.. This is a very interesting take on the character and it feels very true to him.

Oh MY……Freakin’ awesome!

I like how if a man is into bigger women, he’s called a “chubby chaser,” and yet if he’s into thin/average women he’s considered normal. Because heaven forbid someone have a different opinion on what beauty is.

Oh, and obviously, women don’t fit into the equation because women just take what they can get, right?
